Motivating Ourselves To Get Things Done

Motivating Ourselves To Get Things Done

Question: Is There A Way To Motivate Myself To Get Things Done?

Answer:

Yes.

Consider your life a series of moments. Understand time. It’s fleeting.

Think deeply about what is going in the world right now. This is the perfect time to motivate yourself and get things done that you normally would not be able to.

It’s really now or never. Think of the satisfaction you will feel once you choose to get things done.

Only you will feel this sense of accomplishment. It’s something to look forward to and aim for.

Your external life will be exactly as your internal world is.

So if you want to sit around and just waste the days then life will not really amount to much.

However you have a choice and that is the most beautiful thing.

It’s totally up to you to motivate yourself. It’s up to you to know your worth.

It’s up to you to manifest awesomeness and all that you desire into your life.

Sitting around and waiting for something different to happen or just think you’ll wake up one day and feel motivated is not how it works.

You must know there is greatness inside you. You must motivate yourself.

You have to realize time is fleeting and you are just sitting by idle waiting. Wasting days away. You are better than this.

Find the motivation within yourself to get it done.

Begin to feel inspired. Listen to inspiring things everyday. Do the self work. Get into a different frame of mind and you’ll change the whole game.

It’s all energy. You choose. You manifest. You decide how excited you want to be about your life everyday!

You got this!

So as a part of a new series of posts I’ll be offering what I hope is helpful information, insights and resources and sharing my responses to questions from people – ones that are most commonly asked and questions I think will be most helpful.

The answers you will find are my sincere from the heart responses to people needing guidance and inspiration. And while some of the answers might be brief I’m hopeful there will be a tidbit in there and some sort of takeaway.

I do this from the sincerity of my heart. It is my calling to assist and help others and that’s why God has put me on a path to do the work for that very reason. The more work I do the better I can assist. I believe my life and struggles were for this very reason to learn from and grow from. I was forced inward along the way so I could look deeper at all of the trauma and come out stronger and wiser and now I share those insights I’ve gained over the last more than two decade journey of seeking my own answers to all of life’s complexities.

I Have Very Low Self Esteem | Is This A Sign Of Pride?

I Have Very Low Self Esteem. Is This A Sign Of Pride?

It’s ok. You are in a low spot right now. It’s temporary.

However the key is that you know there is more to you.

And you are looking for answers to fix how you feel about yourself right now.

And that is so perfect. How you turn it around is you stop feeling sorry for yourself right now. You give yourself a little credit. Look at all you’ve been through. Look at how far you’ve come.

This is the energy you need to tap into to get to that greatness. Know your worth.

It’s all energy. What you put out there is what you get. You are so much better than this.

There is greatness inside you. You are not here to be sad and mopey. You are here to be your most awesome you and live your most awesome life.

That’s why you’re here.

Understand that life is precious. Time is fleeting. Every moment you waste feeling sorry for yourself is a moment you deprive yourself of greatness.

You have greatness inside of you. Your power is tapping into that.

How Can I Make Myself Better Each Day?

How Can I Make Myself Better Each Day
Better Yourself – Do The Soul Work

HOW CAN I MAKE MYSELF BETTER EACH DAY?

Do the soul work. Every single day is a beautiful gift to get inside of yourself and discover all of the magic and beauty life has to offer.

I know it is a really scary time right now and I feel this is even more critical for us to be using our time wisely and powerfully.

My sincere hope is everyone will come out of this better, stronger, wiser, more compassionate and more loving.

Things you can do –

Get into nature. Even if it’s just sitting outside and feeling the rays of sun on your face and feet. Feel the energy of the sky and the trees, the birds. Get in alignment with the universe.

Learn to sit in silence. Meditate. Even just for 5 minutes a day. Close your eyes. Turn off your off phone. It’s not hard. You don’t have to stop thinking. Let the thoughts come and let them go. That’s it. And the more you do this the more centered and grounded you will become. You’ll be more calm. More present from moment to moment. Less reactive. And you become more at peace with life and all that is because you learn to sit in acceptance of all that is.

Read more. So many great writers and poets and teachers with so much inspiration and insights. Some of my favorites – Thich Nhat Hanh, Dalai Lama, Pema Chodron, Gary Zukav, Marianne Williamson, Caroline Myss, Brendon Burchard, Jack Kornfield, Byron Katie – I could go on and on. I share these writers because they teach us about life and how to maneuver powerfully through it.

Exercise. Work out. Move your body. Yoga – Breathing exercises. Even just a nice brisk walk. Something that makes you feel better. Get’s the heart pumping.

Eat well. Eat whole foods. Nourish your body.

Be and feel inspired. Listen to inspiring things. Start your day with something inspiring. Ted talks on youtube has so many great speakers and wonderfully insightful talks.

Incorporate these things into your day. The meditation alone will add so much more productivity and hours to your day. You’ll have more energy.

Hope this helps.

I’m Going To Keep Inspiring People No Matter What

I'm Going To Keep Inspiring People No Matter What

March 18, 2020I’M GOING TO KEEP INSPIRING PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT

So here’s the thing – I’m not going to stop. And no I’m not going to let Corona Virus stop me.

I’m not going to feed into the fears and the sensationalism.

I’m a competent human being. And I’ll even go as far as saying well read and well informed. I’m a former network journalist so I’ve always been an information junkie.

I know what’s up. I see clearly that we are in the thick of a pandemic. It’s serious. I get it. It’s unprecedented. And it’s like nothing we’ve ever seen before and we really do not know at this point how things are going to unfold for the foreseeable future, but…….

Yes, there’s a but, we are going to get through this. I promise. I know this. You know this also. We all know this so I’m stressing that we all stay positive and focused. I’m stressing that we use this time powerfully in ways perhaps we’ve never used our time before.

Not to say you haven’t used your time powerfully. What I’m saying is let’s do more. Let’s go deeper. Let’s try some things we haven’t.

Never meditated before? Great! This is an opportune time to sit in silence and start your meditation practice.

And here’s what else I’m not going to do – I’m not going to tap into or feed into or feed out the fear that is spreading – no pun intended. There is a lot of negativity and a lot of fear. Again I’m not here to quell anyone’s fears or diminish the seriousness of a full blown pandemic.

I’m a journalist. I’ve seen things. I’ve dealt with crisis. And today I’m a Reiki Master and energy worker. I’m a Mindfulness Trainer. I work with energy all day every day.

And I can promise you everything has energy behind it, including our fears. So let’s not expound on this. Let’s use this time powerfully to retreat into ourselves. Let’s go deeper.

POWERFUL WAYS TO GET THROUGH THIS

I’m sincerely speaking from the heart hear when I say I’m seeing this with a different perspective. I’m actually seeing it as a great gift and blessing that is forcing us all to pause and realign ourselves.

We would never just stop like this and take a moment for pause. We are all running and going constantly so let this be the catalyst that allows us to go inward.

Let us take a more powerful and inspired perspective over the next week or two as we wait for updates on resuming normalcy.

    1. Meditate – yes. Try it. It’s powerful. The benefits are enormous. Check out my article on getting started for those who have never meditated. I offer a complete breakdown. I even have a free guided meditation to help you get going.
    2. Read – so much wonderful content, books, insights and wisdom left by great writers and sages. Let’s get with that and see how we come out on the other end. Check out this link to see what I’ve been reading. I’ll be updating soon with a new breakdown of some of the most powerful stuff to keep us inspired. I’m an avid reader and try to get in at least one book a week. Two if I’ve got a little extra time, generally never extra time, but if the book is a short easy 100 page read or so.
    3. Spend Quality Time With Loved Ones – This is a perfect opportunity to just chill and have a deeper conversation with loved ones. Listen more. Ask questions. Go deeper. Listen intently like you’ve never before. I promise you there is profundity and intensity we can tap into when we just slow down and show up fully and powerfully in the present. Compassionate Listening is powerful. I’ve written all about this and teach Mindful Communication. Listening is a huge part of communicating mindfully.
    4. Get Into Nature – It’s a profound way to get in alignment with ourselves and our souls. It’s an amazing way to self reflect and allow the cosmos and the frequency of nature to elevate your awareness and allow you to enter a deeper state of consciousness. After are all – even though we are being forced to isolate – we still are all one cosmic consciousness. The benefits of nature are enormous.

    MISSION STATEMENT

I honor this life and this time to delve deeply into my passions and go deeper with loved ones. I will continue from here to write and read and be inspired and do my best to inspire others. Let’s stay positive and hopeful. Let’s believe in our power to collectively allow this time to make us stronger and wiser and bolder and badder when we come out of this. This is my sincere hope.

POWER WAY – DEALING WITH A LOOMING CRISIS – COVID 19

Power Way - Dealing With A Looming Crisis - Covid 19

So in life there are always options. We can deal with things two ways.

We can deal with them powerfully or not so powerfully. I want to share my thoughts on the crisis and how we can best deal with what is going on powerfully.

I share because I feel my years of learning and training to get through life has helped me have great insights from some of the greatest sages. Also I’ve had my fair share of trauma so I feel the first hand experience has also given me the grit and tenacity to forge ahead.

    What We Are Facing?

So in sharing here I do not want to make light of anyone’s fears or trepidation to be out and about in the world like “normal.” Whatever that means at this point.

I first think you may already know that I’m a former network journalist. This is not my first rodeo. I’ve covered hundreds of stories and produced hundreds of newscasts from scratch to timing it out before the network takes back over. Literally – I’ve been there done that for ABC, CBS and independent stations.

I’ve also worked for a couple of Fox affiliate and it’s not what you think. They are independently owned so we have our own agenda.

My purpose in sharing this is that as a network journalist I’ve faced a lot of high stress situations where it appeared all hell was breaking loose, but maintain calm. This is part of being a journalist. You want all the crazy stuff and tight deadlines and pressure coming at you and for the most part you absorb it, take it, process and decipher it down in to bite size facts.

What we are facing here is a serious threat and we are being asked to self-isolate. This is the most exceptional part of this story for me. Unfortunately we are being misinformed and ill informed on many fronts. We have leaders – one at the helm who does not know anything about the seriousness of this and has made light of it time and time again. This in and of itself is a far greater threat than a virus we will surely get a hold on.

If you see how other nations have dealt with it you will see it is possible to get a handle on it. And I assure we will.

The scary thing is a lot of medical professionals also don’t sincerely know all the facts. This is a new threat, one that is still being understood. They are saying a vaccine is at least a year out. So I believe it’s the unknowns that are scary.

It’s the not knowing all of the details that makes it more of a mystery and threat.

As we continue learning and discovering more details about covid19 we’ll surely have more peace of mind.

    THE POWERFUL WAY

And yes there are powerful ways to handle this and un-powerful ways to deal with this crisis.

The powerful way is taking pro-active measures. The first most powerful thing to do is be vigilant. Self-isolate. Wash your hands more frequently. Don’t touch your face. Enter total present awareness after being in public and make sure you are not rubbing or touching your face without washing your hands.

Get your fruits and veggies home and give those a good wash as well. Also wipe down packaged foods.

Be out less. Socialize less. Exercise extreme vigilance.

    THE UN-POWERFUL WAY

The un-powerful way is to feed into all of the paranoia. Again not here to distill fear. It’s ok to be a little scared and concerned, but it is not powerful. I promise you. I’m an energy worker and this is needing us to understand deeply that we are facing something yes, so don’t discredit it whatsoever.

However feeding into the fear and the over abundant news that is sensationalizing the pandemic is not a good way to react. And that’s simply it – if you read something that has the pure intent of sensationalizing the crisis – and you allow panic to take hold then you begin in way to contribute to the immensity of the problem.

Buying up everything is only adding more turmoil to the pandemic. We are being selfish and allowing our fear to take hold.

Yes experts are saying to self isolate and stay in doors. Socialize less. Be vigilant after your grocery run. However they are not saying go buy everything up and stock pile a bunch of food so others are left scrambling. We are adding to the crisis when we operate in this way.

I first hand know of several people who are running around looking for basic items because others took the liberty to have them all for themselves. This is not a powerful way to get through a pandemic.

When we live selfishly we impact others in negative ways. Please think about it.

TIPS AND ACTIONS THAT WILL HELP

Let’s work together on this and distill fears of our loved ones. Let’s remind them to be vigilant in their way at this time. However let’s also remind them and everyone that we are going to get through this.

Here’s what I’m continuing to do that I hope you will consider adding to your daily regimen.

For me the beauty in this is it affirms that the time I take to do this each day is well worth it.

I do this anyway every single day and I feel the enormous benefits of it and I know it will help you too.

    1. Meditate – the health benefits are enormous. My dna is changing and it’s slowing down the aging process. It also is helping keep the blood flow and circulation all regulated which helps ward off so many other ailments. Bonus – I’m able to maintain a state of calm even during a pandemic. I’m less reactive.
    2. Yoga Breathing Techniques – I do several different techniques but my daily go to is ten minutes of – alternate nostril breathing. This builds up the lungs where most ailments are born. There is a reason yogis never get sick and live exceptionally long lives. Do I consider myself a yogi? Yes. And I seldom get sick!

    IN CLOSING

My thoughts are this – if there is something scary out there that can make us sick and spread like wildfire there is no power in panicking about it. The powerful way forward is trying to understand how we calmly do our best to manage it and keep it at bay and how we can help those around us not feed into fear and paranoia. Let us lead by example and be the voice of reason in this uncertain time. Let us walk assuredly knowing our calm and resolve will get us through it.

How Do I Stop Comparing Myself To Others

How Do I Stop Comparing Myself To Others

So we all do it. I think that’s the first step to letting go of being so hard on yourself.

It’s the same with meditation and teaching it. So many people constantly tell me they think too much or non-stop or they just can’t stop having racing thoughts.

I share with them that this is the nature of the mind. And we all do this. It’s not unique to them. And they know this already, but being told this gives them a sense of awareness and acceptance that perhaps they didn’t feel before.

The same goes with us being our own greatest critics and with us wanting to be like the other guy or wanting what someone else has. We are constantly comparing ourselves and our lives to others.

We are unique beautiful creatures here on our own individual journeys with our own paths to chart and our own challenges to overcome.

We have our own set of circumstances, skills and gifts. Why would we ever want to be like everyone else or think we are remotely comparable to another. We are our own beautiful awesome self. Let’s start owning it.

HOW CAN I STOP COMPARING MYSELF TO OTHERS?

Never compare yourself to anyone. The beauty of you is that you are a unique creation. There is absolutely no one on this earth who comes remotely close to you.

Your uniqueness is your superpower. Own it. Run with it. Honor it.

You are here to be your own unique self. You are not here to copy others or try to be like others.

    Be your own authentic self.

That is where you will be most powerful and thrive in life.

You have to honor yourself and your own internal awesomeness. You are so special. Never try to be like others or compare yourself to others.

You are here to be your most awesome you. Don’t worry about them. Work on you and make yourself and your life the most awesome thing imaginable.

    You so got this.

So as a part of a new thing I’ll be offering helpful information, insights and resources and sharing my responses to questions from people – ones that are most commonly asked and questions I think will be most helpful.

How And Why You Need To Start Beating Yourself Up

How & Why You Need To Stop Beating Yourself Up For Your Past

    February 6, 2020HOW &

Question: How do I stop hating myself for something I did in the past and cannot change?

My Response: You learn to let it go. Learn the lesson. Look at it as a lesson for your soul growth. If you sit there and woe in it that is not powerful.

Understand that thing that happened. You are a conscious being and that is why you have remorse. Now understand it deeply. Learn from that and make yourself untouchable.

Forgive yourself. That’s life. We’ve all done things we wish we could take back.

Spending the rest of your life in remorse of it is not powerful. You are not here to be sad and mopey. You are here to move on powerfully.

You are here to be your most awesome you. Tap in to life on a deeper level. Get in to nature. Listen to inspiring things.

Stop focusing on what does not serve you. Focus on things that will help you and empower you.

There is greatness inside of you. Focus on that. Let it go.

Be your most awesome you. Live your most awesome life now. You are so worthy to be all you can be and have your most awesome life. Stop wasting time living in the past.

Every moment you spend thinking about the past is a moment you deprive yourself of in the here and now.

It’s ok. You are only human. You’ve beaten yourself up for it enough. Now it’s time to move on.

Now is all you have. Yesterday is gone. Live powerfully in the now.

Too Much Energy | It’s Hard Sitting Still

Too Much Energy - It's Hard Sitting Still

How to deal with too much frenetic energy? Life is all about energy. And if there’s too much of it that is not being moved and directed in a positive way it can create a lot of stress and anxiety.

This is such a huge problem for so many. Not knowing what to do with the excess energy and not knowing how to slow down.

    The original question –

Why am I flooded with so much energy that it is hard sitting still like when doing homework, I feel like doing things it’s giving me so much energy. How can I stay still with these emotions?

    My response

Meditate. Learn to slow down. You are missing so much by racing around.

It’s ok. It’s not a race. It’s good to have a lot of energy, but you have to know how to use that energy powerfully so it most benefits you.

Otherwise you will just be racing around from place to place and thing to thing never fully in each moment.

Learn to sit in silence. Learn to be with all the racing thoughts. It’s ok. It’s human nature.

And the more you do this the more grounded you will feel. The more in sync with the universe you will feel.

You will be more in alignment with all that’s around you and better be able to use your energy constructively and powerfully.

You will also begin to see things with greater awareness. You will begin to live more in the present from moment to moment.

You will begin to show up more powerfully for others and for all of those things you want to do in life.

You’ll be more calm and more at peace and be able to direct your energy in a way that it best serves you.
