If you struggle with sleep like I have for years you’ve searched high and low for relief like I did until I found the Quiet Mind Weighted Pillow, the best weighted pillow in the world. Do you struggle to unwind at night? Does your mind race with thoughts and worries, making it hard to fall asleep? If so, I have a little secret to share with you: weighted pillows.
I first heard about weighted pillows from a friend a few months ago. She swore by hers, saying it helped her relax and drift off to dreamland more easily. I was intrigued but a little skeptical. How could a pillow make that much of a difference?
Turns out, weighted pillows are pretty amazing. The extra weight, usually 3-5 pounds, provides something called “deep pressure stimulation.” It’s a fancy way of saying the weight gently hugs your body, making you feel safe, secure and grounded.
This deep pressure helps your body release feel-good hormones like serotonin and melatonin while lowering cortisol, the stress hormone. The result is an incredible sense of calm and relaxation that primes you for a restful night’s sleep.
After some research I connected with Quiet Mind to see if they were interested in having me try out there pillow in exchange for an honest review.
So I’m here to tell you in all honesty that I absolutely love my Quiet Mind Weighted pillow.
When I cuddle up with it at night, I can literally feel my body relaxing and letting go of any tension I’m holding onto. My mind stops buzzing and racing with thoughts and I’m able to unwind peacefully.
The Quiet Mind pillow has a velvety soft cover and is filled with tiny, evenly distributed glass beads that provide the perfect amount of weight. It’s sturdy and well-made – after several months of nightly and not to mention daily use, mine still looks and feels like new.
I use it mainly behind my neck and across my shoulders/chest when I’m lying on my back, or I’ll hug it against my stomach and chest if I’m on my side. There’s no wrong way really, it’s all about what feels comforting to you.
Beyond just helping with sleep, I’ve found my weighted pillow to be a wonderful tool for stress relief in general. If I’m feeling anxious or overwhelmed, I’ll take a few minutes to lay down with it and focus on my breathing. It helps me re-center and approach whatever I’m facing from a calmer state of mind.
While weighted pillows are generally considered safe, there are a few things to keep in mind. Make sure to get one that is an appropriate size and weight for your body – around 10% of your body weight is the recommendation. And if you have any respiratory or chronic health conditions, it’s a good idea to check with your doctor first.
Other than that, I really can’t recommend Quiet Mind enough, especially if you’re someone who has trouble quieting your mind to relax or sleep. The Quiet Mind pillow has honestly been a game changer for me. My sleep has improved and I feel more centered and resilient in dealing with stress.
